

Statewide Farmers' Market.
What a great event it was! A statewide farmer's market at the Capitol in Bismarck. There were vendors from all over the state selling fresh locally grown produce, artisan breads, homemade soaps and lotions, local honey and honey products, cheeses and homemade preserves. The weather turned out to be nice , with just a few showers here and there, and the beautiful setting of the Capitol grounds added to the festive atmosphere of celebrating small farms and local business. Roadside farmstand.
We have realized that our plan to have the country store open this summer will not come true. But we have planned for it and have planted for it! So we had to come up with an alternative plan... And when a raspberry Upick farm that is about 80 miles south from us stopped their operation and had this farmstand for sale we jumped on it. The deal was made and the building was moved. We are so excited to have the farmstand as it has been attracting more customers and we have been


Gardens in full glory.
August is when the farm and the gardens are in their full beauty!Everywhere you look you see the fruits of our labor. Clean and weeded raised beds with various types of herbs happily growing, sipping in the nutrients from the soil and the energy from the sun. The hills with squashes are producing faster than we manage to pick them, trellisses are loaded with cucumbers for fresh snacking on, pickling types are in abundance as well which means the preserves making time is right
